Character Housing

THE WEALTHY

These homes can be found in: Northern Shadewell, King's Quarters

Wealthy homes have several rooms, including a living room, dining room, a large kitchen hidden from the wealthy homeowners, a study, and multiple bedrooms that could be used in other ways such as a library. Many of these homes have extra living quarters for the staff that serves the lady or gentleman that owns the estate including maids, butlers, chefs and general servants. The servant living quarters aren't nearly as elaborate as the upstairs, but it gives them access to a safe and secure living space.

Many of these homes are on large plots of healthy land that are attended to by personal landscapers and gardeners.

UPPER MIDDLE CLASS

These homes can be found in: Shadewell

The upper middle class is the smallest class in Blackstone, and they all live in the same general area. These homes have no more than two bedrooms but have a living room, a small dining area and a moderately sized kitchen. Those who own one of these homes can usually afford a maid to come in and tidy up or do the laundry from time to time, although hiring a live-in servant is just beyond their pay grade.

These homes are on smaller plots of land that can hold modest gardens to be tended to by the homeowners or a hired hand.

LOWER MIDDLE CLASS

These homes can be found in: Blackchapel, Southshore, and The Bowels

By far the most common, these homes are usually a part of a larger building that has been split up into several different living quarters. Each separate home has a sitting room, a small kitchen, and a bedroom just large enough to fit a bed and side table. The bathroom holds a small shower that measures roughly 4'X4', and those who want to do their laundry will have to hang their clothes on a line on the back alleyway that their home leads out to.

DESTITUTE

Can be found in: Blackchapel, Southshore, The Docks

Although the destitute don't have homes to live in, they will sometimes find buildings in the slums of southern Blackchapel, The Docks or Southshore that have been abandoned due to safety concerns. Those who aren't squatting in these buildings are usually found sleeping in the streets of the same districts.

CHARACTER HOUSING

Requests can be made for housemates, although no more than two people can fit in a lower middle class living situation and the single bed must be shared.

APPLICATION

Applications are now: CLOSED as Blackstone is now operating as a private game.

To join the game, you must be invited by a current and active member.

If you've been invited, please comment here with your character name, who invited you, and what sort of housing your character would be able to afford given their financial situation in the original canon. If the original canon is too vague, you can safely assume your character to be 'lower middle class.'

Also be sure to tell us what your characters new employment would be. This should be something relevant to a skill that your character has in their original source material.

You can copy and paste the form below to fill out and leave in a comment:

All comments are screened. Once you're done, join the communities and grant the mod journal access to your character journal. You're all done!
